Jefferson County Lawyer Alcorn to Serve on Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors

HARRISBURG (May 5, 2020) — John F. Alcorn, a member of the law firm Ferraro, Kruk & Ferraro LLP in Brockway and a former Pennsylvania Department of State chief hearing examiner, will begin a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Board of Governors at the close of the association’s May 8 House of Delegates meeting.

One of 12 PBA zone governors, Alcorn will represent Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Venango and Warren county lawyers.

Alcorn has been a voting member in the PBA House of Delegates, the PBA’s policymaking body, since 2008. He served on the House of Delegates Draft Committee from 2015 to 2017.

Since 2016, Alcorn has served as a member of investigative panels of the PBA Judicial Evaluation Commission, which help evaluate candidates seeking to fill vacancies on Pennsylvania’s Commonwealth, Superior and Supreme courts.

He has been a member of the PBA Government Lawyers Committee since 1999.

Also active in the local organized bar, Alcorn is a member of the Jefferson County Bar Association.

Alcorn holds degrees from Clarion University and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University.
