HARRISBURG (May 8, 2019) — James P. Valentine of Rosenn Jenkins & Greenwald LLP, Wilkes-Barre, will begin a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors at the conclusion of the association’s Annual Meeting, May 17, in Lancaster.
One of 12 zone governors who serve on the PBA board, Valentine will represent Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming County lawyers.
Since 2009, Valentine has been a member of the PBA House of Delegates, the association’s policymaking body.
He is a past chair of the PBA Labor and Employment Law Section and for over 20 years he has served on the section’s council.
Valentine has previously served as a member of the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association’s (Luzerne County Bar Association) Executive Committee.
Valentine has also been involved in, and has served as a board member of, numerous community and professional organizations, including service as a member of King’s College President’s Council, board chair of Leadership Wilkes-Barre and board chair of Step By Step Inc. He is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys and the Society for Human Resource Management.
Valentine is a magna cum laude graduate of King’s College. He received his law degree from Dickinson School of Law.
