Lackawanna County Lawyer Menichini to Serve as Immediate Past Chair of Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division

HARRISBURG (May 4, 2020) — Scranton-based lawyer Jennifer Menichini of Joyce, Carmody & Moran PC will become the immediate past chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division (PBA YLD) at the conclusion of association’s May 8 House of Delegates meeting.

Active at both the state and local levels of the organized bar, Menichini is concluding a one-year term as chair of the PBA YLD. During 2018-19, Menichini served as PBA YLD chair-elect, and, during 2017-18, she served as PBA YLD secretary.

Menichini is the co-chair of the PBA YLD executive committee for the PBA Statewide High School Mock Trial Competition and a regional coordinator for the competition.

Since 2015, Menichini has been a voting member of the PBA House of Delegates, the policymaking body of the association. 

Menichini is secretary of the PBA Federal Practice. She is a current member of a number of additional committees and sections, including the Civil and Equal Rights Committee, Civil Litigation Section, Finance Committee, Labor and Employment Law Section, Quality of Life/Balance Committee, Solo and Small Firm Section, and Commission on Women in the Profession. She is a member of the Task Force on Dues Structure.

Menichini is a past chair of the PBA Federal Practice Committee’s Outreach and Diversity Subcommittee. She was a member of the class of 2015-16 of the PBA Bar Leadership Institute, which helps prepare lawyers for future leadership within the association.

Menichini is a past president of the Middle District of Pennsylvania Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

She is a member and serves on the Board of Directors of the Lackawanna Bar Association. She is a past president of the Lackawanna Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.

Menichini also is a member of the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association and the Monroe County Bar Association.

Menichini graduated with honors from the University of Scranton and earned a J.D. from Duquesne University.
