The mission of the PBA Judicial Independence Committee is to assist the media and the public in understanding judicial decisions and the justice system. The committee is composed of PBA and local bar association leaders, PBA members and former members of the judiciary. Through its Judicial Independence Committee, the PBA strives to set the record straight on behalf of common pleas judges who cannot defend themselves against unfounded attacks in the media and to educate the public about judicial decisions and the justice system.
