The PBA is proud to join with the American Bar Association to encourage you to plan and participate in “Rising to Meet the Challenge: Pro Bono Response to COVID-19” for the 2020 National Celebration of Pro Bono.
The PBA Legal Services to the Public Committee and the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service invite you to join us this October for the Pennsylvania and National Celebration of Pro Bono. In 2020, we encourage you to recognize the efforts of pro bono programs and attorneys across the commonwealth and across the country who are working hard to address the many legal needs arising from the coronavirus pandemic. The 2020 Pennsylvania and national celebrations will showcase the incredible difference that pro bono lawyers make to our state and our nation, to our system of justice, to our communities and, most of all, to the clients they serve.
We understand that the 2020 celebration may look different than years past, and that planning is difficult when the future is unknown. We are here to support you with resources to assist with planning your events and campaigns. Look over our PBA Pro Bono Month website and visit the National Celebration of Pro Bono website for planning resources and ideas. Contact the PBA Pro Bono Office and the ABA’s Center for Pro Bono to help facilitate your planning.
